　　　　阿三住院，福来兄妹和晓晴去医院看望他，无论福来怎么盘问，阿三怎么也不肯说出真相。寒星认为秦啸天撒谎，发誓继续报仇。阿三在福来和晓晴的一再追问下，终于说漏了嘴。大家知道寒星没有死，但阿三不愿说出寒星的下落。守成不甘心，一心要把寒星除掉。他带人到教堂闹事，不料寒星夺了守成的枪，迫使守成退走。　　守成放火烧了教堂，正赶上阿三出院去看望寒星。阿三奋力背起寒星冲出火海，院长等人均被烧死，一时引起轩然大波。秦啸天大怒，斥责守成。警方找不到证人，明知道是守成所为，却无法定罪。　　晓晴知道寒星还活着，四处寻找。寒星在泰晤士报上发表文章，揭露火烧教堂的内幕。晓晴去报社询问寒星的情况，但是报社拒绝透露。
